1. About this Privacy Notice
AdityaEdu Ventures Pvt Ltd (“AdityaEdu”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data we collect and process. This Privacy Notice explains:
- what personal data we collect;
- how and why we process it;
- with whom we share it;
- how long we retain it;
- the choices and rights available to you; and
- how you can contact us or raise a grievance.
This Notice applies to personal data processed through our website, mobile applications, online forms, events, communications, and services (collectively, the “Services”). Where we process personal data as a service provider on behalf of an institutional client (for example, a school or college), that client may act as the “Data Fiduciary” and we may act as a “Data Processor”; additional contractual terms may apply.
2. Key definitions
“Personal data” means any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to such data.
“Data Principal” means the individual to whom personal data relates.
“DPDP Act” means the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and rules made thereunder.
Other terms used in this Notice have the meaning given to them under the DPDP Act, where applicable.
3. Personal data we collect
We collect personal data in three main ways: (a) data you provide to us, (b) data we collect automatically when you use our Services, and (c) data we receive from third parties (for example, referrals, institutional clients, or service providers).
Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect:
- Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number, postal address, organisation, designation.
- Student and education information: age/grade (where relevant), academic history, test scores, interests, career preferences, application details and supporting documents you provide (such as resumes, statements, and identity documents where necessary for applications).
- Account and service information: login details, enquiry history, counselling notes you share, appointment details, preferences (including dietary preferences for events, if applicable).
- Payment and transaction data: payment status, invoices/receipts, limited payment identifiers from payment gateways (we generally do not store full card details).
- Technical and usage data: device information, IP address, browser type, pages viewed, clicks, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, and cookie identifiers.
- Communications: emails, messages, call records (where recorded with notice), and feedback.
- Recruitment data (if you apply for a role with us): CVs, education and employment history, references, and related information.
- Safety and security (if you visit our premises): visitor logs and CCTV footage (where applicable).
We do not intentionally seek to collect personal data that is unrelated to providing our Services. Please avoid sharing sensitive information unless requested for a specific purpose.
4. Why we process personal data
We process personal data for the following purposes:
- Provide and manage our Services, including counselling, admissions support, events, and customer support.
- Communicate with you about your enquiries, appointments, requests, and service updates.
- Administer accounts, registrations, subscriptions, newsletters, and marketing communications (with consent where required).
- Improve our Services, website/app performance, and user experience; conduct analytics and research in aggregated or de‑identified form.
- Maintain safety and security, prevent fraud, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
- Comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, and maintain records for audit, taxation, and regulatory purposes.
- Recruitment and talent management, where you apply for roles with us.
5. Legal basis for processing
We process personal data in accordance with the DPDP Act. Depending on the context, our processing may be based on:
- your consent (which you can withdraw at any time);
- “legitimate uses” under the DPDP Act (for example, for certain communications, compliance, security, or where you voluntarily provide data for a specified purpose); and/or
- compliance with law or regulatory obligations.
Where we rely on consent, we will provide or reference a clear consent request. If you withdraw consent, we may be unable to provide certain Services.
6. Sharing and disclosures
We may share personal data with:
- Service providers and vendors who help us operate (for example, hosting, analytics, customer support tools, email/SMS providers, payment gateways, and IT/security providers). They are required to protect personal data and process it only on our instructions.
- Institutional partners or clients when you engage with us through them, or when necessary to deliver the Service you requested.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting, auditors) where necessary.
- Government authorities, regulators, law enforcement, or courts where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
- In a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition, reorganisation), subject to confidentiality and lawful processing.
We do not sell personal data.
7. International transfers
Your personal data may be processed by service providers located outside India. We will only transfer personal data to jurisdictions not restricted by the Central Government under the DPDP Act, and we will implement appropriate contractual and technical safeguards.
8. Retention and deletion
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, and as required by law or for legitimate business needs (for example, dispute resolution, audits, and security).
When the purpose is fulfilled and retention is no longer necessary, we will delete or anonymise the personal data, subject to applicable legal requirements.
For certain security and compliance purposes, logs related to access and processing may be retained for the period required by applicable rules, including retaining logs for at least one year in relevant cases.
9. Security safeguards and breach notification
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures may include encryption or masking where appropriate, access controls, logging and monitoring, backups, and vendor due diligence.
If we become aware of a personal data breach, we will notify affected individuals and the Data Protection Board of India as required by applicable law.
10. Your rights and choices
Subject to the DPDP Act and applicable rules, you may have the right to:
- access information about your personal data and processing;
- request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- request deletion of personal data that is no longer necessary (subject to lawful retention);
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a grievance; and
- nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the manner permitted by law.

11. Children’s personal data
Our Services may be used by students. If we process personal data of a child (generally, individuals under 18 years of age under Indian law), we will do so in accordance with applicable requirements, including obtaining verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian where required.
We do not knowingly undertake tracking or behavioural monitoring of children, or targeted advertising directed at children.
12. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- operate our website/app (essential cookies);
- understand usage and improve performance (analytics); and
- remember preferences (functional cookies).
Where required, we will provide a cookie banner/consent manager and allow you to manage preferences. You can also control cookies via browser settings, though some features may not work properly.

13. Third‑party links and social media

We aim to acknowledge grievances promptly and resolve them within the timelines published in our grievance redressal system (not exceeding 90 days, where applicable). If you are not satisfied after exhausting our internal mechanism, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with law.
